Prior to becoming an expert on teaching women on how to strut their stuff on camera, Hawt Shots Photography owner, Anita, was a model for both MTM and Moro Talent Management. Anita has worked in media for nearly a decade and is alumni of Sheridan College’s Journalism Print Program, where learning the fundamentals of photography was a large part of the curriculum. Her area of expertise is portrait photography. To complement her photographic experience, she has since studied and become further skilled in various photo courses, digital editing and makeup artistry. Anita has integrity, works hard to satisfy her clients and provides incomparable quality products at a fair price.

- Have plenty of ‘beauty’ sleep the night before…got to have energy to smile and look your best!
- Please arrive/be ready 10 minutes before your booking time.
- Please have your hair washed 24 - 48 hours before the shoot, clean, with no styling products. Have clean, dry hair at the time of the shoot.
- We include a free basic hair style, if desired.
- Our professionals will do simple straightening or curling using minimal product to keep a more natural hair style. This style is only created for the illusion of the camera, it is not a style we create for you to wear for that evening or the next few weeks, after the shoot it will probably drop back to how it was earlier that day.
- If you want a fancy styled hairdo or hair up style please arrange for this to be done prior to your session.
- If you have hard to manage hair that only you or your regular hair stylist can work with, please arrange to arrive with your hair already styled.
- Try not to wear any make up the day. If your appointment is in the afternoon, please wash and cleanse your face before arriving at the studio.
- If you have any allergies to certain make up or products it would be best and safer to bring along your make up for our professional to use on your skin.
- Two or three various outfits depending upon the desired look you are after. (Corporate power suits, casual jeans & t-shirt, black tie formal, sexy lingerie, sports & hobbies, sheer tasteful nude, vintage or fancy dress)
- Don’t forget your footwear, underwear, jewelry, and special props
- Write down and bring on the day any questions you may have and all your ideas about what you want from this photographic session.
- Have an idea what sort of makeup look you prefer- heavy glamour or natural glamour.
- We will then proceed to apply your glamour make up and style your hair. This part of your session will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
- Afterward, the photographer will discuss what type of look and images you want from this photographic session. They will discuss options, ideas and outfits with you so that your session runs nice and smoothly.
- When the photographic session commences all you need to remember is just listen to the photographer and they will direct you into all the right positions, lighting, where to look and when to smile.
- Photo shoot will take approximately 1 to 5 hours, depending on the package you selected, using all combinations, ideas, lighting, props, backgrounds and positioning.
What happens after the shoot?
- Your CD or DVD with all original images will be prepared the same day. The thumbnail proofs will be mailed out or emailed the next day, or if you prefer, we will also post all original images in small sizes on clients' password protected area for easier viewing and selection of your images.
- You will need to select your 10 to 20 favorite images, (depending on your package selection).
- Your final images will be retouched to magazine cover quality. This means air brushing, color correction and other digital enhancements.
- All final images will be printed at 4x6 formats as proofs. You will then select the top 5 or 10 images for large 8x12 prints (depending on your package selection).
- You will receive another CD with your final retouched images.

When should I schedule the session?
Hawt Shots will do their best to be flexible and accommodate to your schedule and will have the proofs processed within 5 -7 business days. During peak holiday times, such as Valentine’s Day and Christmas, please allow for 10- 14 business days for processing.
What should I wear?
You can dress in anything you feel comfortable. The most important thing is to choose outfits that make you feel sexy. A good rule of thumb is to bring something that is black, white, and a bright color. So you can mix-and-match. A men’s long sleeved white dress shirt is a good choice.
